I loved driving around in a Cuban Vintage cars so much that I rented another one for a few hours to tour of Havana. This time is was a '56 BelAir Chevrolet.
I hope in my vintage ride and the first stop is to El Morro, The Castle or in reality a fort.
Here like so many of these outdated structures kept pirates at bay.
After El Morro, I told the driver just drive around take me to what you think is interesting. Show me your city. We spend the next 2 hours driving throughout the city of Havana. The drive along the streets of Presidents has mansions in various states of opulence or decay. Old magnificent structures with wrap around porches occupying large frontal gardens with massive ornate iron entrance gates call out to a time long gone...
We make a watering hole stop at another Hemingway Hangout. After a few Mojito's we proceed onward to La Casa Del Musica. Hungry and tired we stop for lunch at a nautical-themed bar in Habana, Vieja’s grittier southern quarter – unchanged since the 1950s at Puerto de Sagua
