After a short snooze and a change of clothes, I am glad I brought a bathing suit, not so much to swim as to be dressed cooler. First thing I did was look for the outlets to charge the gadgets. Not a problem right near the bed. I unpacked some stuff for the one night and headed to the bar. The bar is completely self service and runs on the honor system where you add what you took to a sheet of paper with your room number. I made myself a coconut rum and coke drink. While I would have preferred a mixed drink, umbrella and all, it was not bad. This is the difference of things when you stay budget. The Bahamas is not a cheap destination. The cost of most rooms in the resorts are $200 and better. This room was $138 tax and everything but food and booze. there are some hostels but they did not seem to garner good reviews. I like the thought of hosteling but I just can't get over having to share a room with other people dormitory style. Maybe, one day, I would like to try it possibly in Europe but I think even one star hotels might be better. I do not know..
I grab my drink. No one is in the lounge area as I was told most people checked out this morning. So I headed back to my porch to relax, blog and read, listen to a little Sinatra --- oh and drink.

Photo from my room as I sit on the porch drinking a rum and coke listening to Sinatra.

Self portrait. Notice the iPod with speaker listening to Sinatra: A Man and his Music
It looks beautiful!
